A bit of history behind Discus is appropriate. Discus started 3 years ago as “ChemBoard”, a discussion board for chemistry courses at Hope College.
One year after we made Discus freely available, it grew to about 300 implementations. In addition to educational institutions, Discus was adopted by various online communities and other groups wishing to implement a electronic discussion forums.
