Notes:
Discus has a hierarchical structure of topics, subtopics, sub-subtopics, much like Yahoo.
Each page has a title, navigation bar, and some combination of subtopics, messages, and a place to add new subtopics or a new message.
Each conversation is a linear list of messages with an Add a Message box that invites the reader to contribute. This linear structure is extremely intuitive and easy to use.
There is also continuously available online help, keyword searching, and new message searching. Discus keeps track of what messages have been read and where new posts have been made.
All administration is done through your WWW browser. Page Manager allows reordering, deleting, moving, and editing of subtopics and messages. User Manager allows creation of user accounts. Access Manager controls who may post and read messages.
